Phase 3: Operational Security

Your operating system is your biggest vulnerability. Windows 10/11 and macOS take constant screenshots, log keystrokes for telemetry, and cache thumbnails of every image you view. To browse a torzon onion link safely, you need an amnesic system.

What is Tails?

Tails (The Amnesic Incognito Live System) is a portable OS that runs from a USB stick. It routes all internet traffic through Tor and wipes the RAM when you shut it down. Even if your computer is seized, there is no evidence you ever visited a torzon market link.

Installation Protocol

Requirement Details
USB Stick Minimum 8GB (USB 3.0 recommended for speed)
Software BalenaEtcher + Tails .img file

1. Flash the Drive

Download the image from the official Tails website. Use Etcher to write the image to your USB drive. This wipes the drive.

2. Boot from USB

Restart your computer and press the Boot Menu key (F12 for Dell/Lenovo, F9 for HP, Option for Mac). Select the USB drive. You are now in the Tails environment.

3. Configure Persistence

To save your PGP keys and torzon login credentials, open "Configure Persistent Volume" in the Tails menu. Enable "GnuPG", "Bitcoin Client", and "Dotfiles". Set a strong passphrase.

OPSEC TIP: Never save your home address in a plain text file. Always encrypt it using PGP, even inside the Encrypted Persistence volume.
